Government of Pakistan (PTI) is facing Backlash after levy on Used Cars
Pakistan is already going through hard times. Latest Government of Pakistan has increased Taxes on all things of daily use and people are not happy with this government at all but on Social Media paid campaigns are at its peak to defend this Government.
After increasing prices on Medicines, Grocery and other things. This Government to increase Pakistan Treasury put a 17 percent tax on used cars which meant that if you buy a used car then the buyer would have to pay 17 percent Sales Tax Again.
FBR Clarification
After Backlash FBR on Saturday clarified that the existing law charged sales tax on full sale value which was again harsh and excessive.
Fbr also claimed that on request of business community and after seeking support of major chambers of commerce a clause was added in the Finance act to provide relief to encourage refurbishing of second hand vehicles.
Relief is only for the filers.
Levy Decision taken back
Yesterday there was a news that this decision has been taken back and was published on a TV Channel but until now no official statement has been issued by FBR.
